Watching You

I watch you from across the room,
Quietly, unnoticed.
You’re buried deep in thought,
Reading in your chair,
Turning pages, softly, steadily.
My toes curl,
As I stretch, restlessly,
Watching your brow furrow,
As you concentrate;
History in the palm of your hands.
I shift, silently, slowly –
So not to disturb
Your attention,
As I relax across the couch.
I wonder what you’re thinking.
Do you have debauchery
On your mind?
My hand slides down
Into the front of my panties
Searching
For the treasured pink pearl.
I lick my soft lips,
Still and quiet,
Observing you
As you absorb the ink
From thin pages
Of your hardbound book.
What are you reading?
My fingers dance
A magic tune,
