To the one I seek:

I dream of you, in darkness.

Your shadow reveals

Your intensity.

As I yearn for you;

I discover,

You’re just out of reach.

But I can smell you —

Flesh and sweat,

Pheromones.

Pulling me further

Into your phantom arms.

Yet, I cannot see

Your face.

But I can hear you.

Your thoughts pouring out.

Depraved and wicked,

I cannot stop listening

To your wicked intellect.

I lick my dry lips,

Parched -

Desire swelling

Behind my eyes.

No, I won’t cry.

My Phantom, my Dream,

I imagine your words, your visions,

Dripping off your tongue.

Mesmerized by the movement

Of your lips.

My breath quickens —

Listening, your wisdom
