Evolving Around a Pursuit of Dreams
A look at how my dreams changed over my life, impacting my decisions, goals, and where I wish to be.
Dreams are illustrations… from the book, your soul is writing about you.” — Marsha Norman.
Dreaming may be necessary for the survival of the human spirit. When we close our eyes at night, we step through the haze and live another reality inside our minds. Everything we know as human beings, information, and history is passed down throughout our evolution.
From birth, our parents begin to teach us about the world, giving us the verbal ability to describe our surroundings. We learned to feed ourselves, bathe, and tie our shoes. Everything you know came through intervention. Someone or something taught it to you, down to your belief system.
The one thing you have that is uniquely you and came with you into this world is the ability to dream.
“We live as we dream–alone.” ~ Joseph Conrad
Why am I talking about dreams? I’ve had dreams, too, and I’m looking at how they have evolved. My dreams have grown with me as a human being, encouraging me to strive, learn, and be engaged with life. Each objective was a life unto its own.
